Community guidelines

What's welcome on AlloyMC profiles and what isn't, how to report something, and what moderators do about it.

Version 1.0, in effect from · Markdown

Lots of Minecraft players are young. Keep everything you put on AlloyMC (your handle, name, bio, links and anything else on your profile) fine for a general audience.

Not allowed

  • Harassment and hate. Attacking people for who they are, threats, slurs, encouraging self-harm, or going after someone again and again.
  • Sexual content. None at all. Anything sexualising minors is removed, the account is deleted, and we report it to the authorities.
  • Impersonation. Pretending to be another person, a creator, a server, Mojang, or AlloyMC staff. Parody is fine if it's obviously parody.
  • Personal information. Posting someone else's address, phone number, real name or other private details without their permission.
  • Scams, spam and malware. Fake giveaways, account selling, phishing links, links to cracked launchers or "free Minecraft", or mass-following accounts to get attention.
  • Illegal content, including content you don't have the rights to.
  • Getting around enforcement, like a new account after a suspension.

Reporting

Use Report on a profile, or write to legal@elchi.dev. Say what's wrong; a link is enough. Reports are only seen by AlloyMC staff, and the person you report isn't told who reported them.

What moderators do

Depending on how serious something is:

  1. Fix it: reset the bio, name or links that break the rules, and tell you why.
  2. Warn you by email.
  3. Suspend the account: it can't sign in and its profile is hidden.
  4. Delete the account, for the most serious cases or repeated suspensions.

Every staff action is logged with who did it and why. If you think a decision was wrong, write to legal@elchi.dev. A person looks at it again and answers you.
